Hello and best wishes to everyone I have ever known who treated me with respect and kindness. I miss so many people I used to know, I cannot even begin to say. The world is a big place and people lead busy lives. Friends are lost and distances grow, but I remember all of you. Welcome also to all the people I do not know or have not yet met. Thank you for being here.

    "Just got home and the TV and DVD player were waiting for me. Wow!!! I’ve never owned anywhere near such a classy TV! I just learned that recently. http://www.nationalgeographic. com/lewisandclark/record_speci es_361_18_3.html “Native Americans used the leaves to weave garments and baskets and ate the roasted rootstock.Other common names for this plant are squaw grass, elk grass, turkeybeard, bear lily, and pine lily.”"

    I love watching fire, especially at night. One evening a neighbor of mine sent me a text saying the Forest Grove Fire Department was burning a house a few blocks from me, over near where my business used to be on C Street. I was at home doing nothing useful and grabbed my camera and ran out the door to go watch it and take photos.

    Here for your browsing pleasure I have foreign bank notes, collectibles, bass guitars, gigantic little tree, Medusa, Murano glass, lawn equipment+electronics, homes old and new, a church for sale, dead businesses, Intel, Hillsboro Airport, pretty office buildings, theater lights, printer upgrade, Jack and the Nightmare crew, my census responses, my friend’s back patio and plants, somebody’s cat (not the one on my porch), car accident, bikers and troop welcome back, evening shots around Forest Grove, green grass and blue skies, a dead possum, colorful loving giraffes, neighbors building painted, things on craigslist, REI steal of a deal, and more.     One day not long ago, I reached my breaking point with the stress of business and other things in life. I just had to get away, so I did. I took one afternoon and went for a drive. I was heading to Tillamook where our other store is. I hadn’t been there in probably a year again. Along the way on Hwy. 6 I stopped at a few places to look at and photograph beautiful things.

    I ended up at the Tillamook Forest Center, a little museum type place right on the river that is pretty new. Their slogan is, “Find yourself in the forest.”, and that is what I was doing. I was so stressed out from everything I nowhere near mental health. Nothing heals me more than photography in a nice quiet place. I found just the place that day and would like share it with you.

    Come with me as I revisit that serene afternoon. Sit back, flip through, and get away for a while. For those too far away to visit, this post is a virtual tour of the Forest Center and a glimpse of one of the Wilson River. As usual I was very thorough. There are 309 photos in the post.

    A few weeks ago on a beautiful Sunday I drove to Portland and took a cruise around to check out Portland starting to wake up from winter. I drove over the river, parked, and went for a nice long walk up and down Hawthorne St. It was so wonderful to be outside in the sun and not at work, I took pictures of everything.
